Owner Hal Bennet wanted his customers and community to experience Johnston's outstanding meats and southern cuisine. So, he opened Johnston's Southern Style Restaurant with Chef Nick Griner.
An anchor of the community, Johnston's Meat Market has been serving Monticello, Florida and surrounding communities since the 1920's. Born out of necessity as a way to process and keep meats fresh (before every household had a refrigerator) the business has grown to encompass much more.
